The edge of reason? Sanity? Adventure? Real life? We literally live on the Edge - with a little cliff across the street and everything. Somedays it feels like more of a mantra than an address.

This is all in good humor: I was feeling a little sorry for myself after the weekend; let me know if any of you feel the same way or if I am just getting old! So my new neighbors were having a little Saturday night soiree and it lasted until about 3:300-4:00 in the morning. Due to the closeness of our houses and the fact that we still have single-pane windows, I could pretty much hear the details of their conversation all night long. Plus, as the hours went on so did the drunkeness. Anyway, not a big deal for the most part--but I just kept thinking to myself: "geez, I must be getting old." There was a day that I was the one up at all hours hanging out with friends causing the disturbance, but now three days later I'm still tired and trying to catch up on my rest from THEIR partying. Hmm...
Then I was thinking about how it's been ten years since I graduated from high school. That'll do you in right there.
Oh well, at least I can watch my favorite shows from growing up on Nick and Nite and TVLAnd.
HAve a good one!

So a little Lucas antecdote for you all. Lucas decided that he wanted to play with an empty pop can that he had dug out of the trash. It was sitting on top and nothing gross was in there (in my defense). So he was playing with this thing like it was just the greatest thing EVER. Apparently the little guy got thirsty. He took the can to the bathroom and filled it with (clean) toilet water and proceeded to rehydrate himself. I heard the splashes and put a quick end to the adventure he had created for himself. I usually keep the bathroom doors closed because of the possibilities of such incidents, but sure enough I forget one time and my kid drinks out of the toilet. Oh well, at least it was clean.

Spring has sprung and it seems like babies are coming from every direction!! Congratulations to all of our friends who have recent additions to be celebrated. It is so much fun to see pictures and meet these new little playmates for Laney and Lucas.
I hope the sleepless nights are few and the love and joy endless for all of you!
And no, the plethora of babies is not really inducing any baby cravings. Thank goodness. Our little one and two year old are about all we can handle right now. =) We just get to enjoy our friends' and help them out anyway we can.
